OBJECTIVES

1. To Understand Anthropological Studies on various aspects of man,society and culture.

2. To evolve monitoring technique for devlopmental programmes for their iffective implementations and to carrying out concurrent evolution of such programmes under implimentation for identifing problems and suggest remedial measures.

3.To understand studies on the problems of specific groups like SC,ST and other ethnic groups including care for the aged and the mother-child welfare.

4.To evaluate and study the changing enviroment and ecology and analyse its implications on man, society and culture therby evolving stategies for improvement.

5.To serve as a center for the collection and dissemination of information for developmental programmes and anthropological research.

6.To provide consultancy services on various problems connected with the study of man,society,culture including the developmental programmes and issues connected with globaliztion and aspects of human biology.

7.To work for the improvement of educational standards particularly in the field of higher education , if requerd ,by establishing institute(s) /institutio(n) for the purpose and also to poovide help-line for the needy students and for those aspiring for competitive examinations.

8.To organise in-service short term training courses for senior officers,non-officers and policy planners, health personnels etc.in their respective fields.

9.To provide counsellings including genetic counseling in various area of anthropological concern eg.forensic,medical,psychological,sports,and auxiological anthropology.

10.To organise seminars,conferences,workshops and group discussions on current topics and various aspects of anthropological studies.

11.To organise reorientations-refresher and special courses on specific topics and furnish certifications foe the same.

12.To collect compile and publish materials relating to man,society and culture.

13.To work in cooperation and collaboration with other scientific bodies working in similar fields and also to provide affilation or confederation to such institutions or organizations.

14.Any other activity in the interest and advancement of the objectives of the academy.
